About The Event
Many contentions exist on construction projects because the Engineer fails to respond to claims within the contractual time frame, fails to certify amounts legitimately due for claims and when rejecting claims or reducing the amount awarded, fails to adequately explain the reasons for doing so. In many cases these actions will escalate to time-consuming and costly disputes for the Employer.
This CPD presentation will explain the actions that the FIDIC contract oblige the Engineer to take when responding to claims, explains good practice when preparing responses and outlines a procedure which is fully in accordance with the contact and, if followed, will ensure that all Engineer’s responses will be accepted by both the Contractor and the Employer.
